Christmas Card #2
I did not think I would like this card. But when it was completed i was like WOW! that is a pretty card!!!..But I have a problem. The sentiments are not stamping properly. It is not a solid image. I get a clean cut but it is an outline with the center still needing to be colored in. If have any suggestions on how to fix this please post!!!
I would have liked to make a set of these. All the paper came from the Basic Grey's Jovial collection paper pack. I cut the poinsettias off of a page. Unfortunately you only get one sheet of each!!!!
Leave a post, tell me what you think!!!
Christmas Card #1
So I am behind. Ericka from My Ebony Cards has posted three cards already!!! So I told her don't worry I will catch up!! Our new phrase is NCLB ( No Cardmaker Left Behind)!!!! I got up this morning to make card #1. Nothing worked, the original stamp I wanted to use would not stamp clear. I don't know if it is the ink that I am using!! I had to start over three times and part of the sticker I used got bend during all of the shifting!!!!! Don't worry you will see it because I am posting the card anyway. I ended up ruining the card because I took the part that was bent off and tried to draw it on my self!!! Anyway I like the card. It is clean, simple, and a little bent!!!!! Leave a message and let me know what you think.

FIRST TAG SWAP!!!!
Hey Everybody,
It has been a long time since I posted but I have been having some technical difficulties. It seems like things are working now. YEAH!!! I recently participated in a swap over at Scrap Da World. I was a little nervous because I don't have access to a Micheal's or any craft store for that matter. But I think I did very well!!! Take a look and tell me what you think!!!

Using My Scraps
This weekend I decided I would try making a card using majority scrap papers. It was a little challenging but I think I did a good job. I finally used some ribbon that I found on my Scrapping Trip with my BFF Ericka in July! Hope you like.

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #84
Happy Monday!!!!
Today I convinced Ericka to complete the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #84 from The Sweetest Thing blog with me. I think she enjoyed it!! Go check out her card over at her blog My Ebony Cards.
For my card I used Bazzil Swiss Dot Card stock, Olivia paper pad from Basic Grey, Martha Stewart punch for the butterflies, and Hero Arts stamp for the sentiment.
I thought the card seemed to dark when I intially chose the colors but they grew on me. I really like the end product.

Altered Notepad
When getting ready to return to work after a long summer I usually buy a notepad/notebook of some kind. I always try and find a really cute one with a printed design on it. I am sure you know what I mean. Well this year since I have all this product from making cards and scrapbook pages, I thought I would try my hand at making an "altered notepad". So in this post you will see the before and after. I think it is really great!!! Leave me a post and let me know what you think.

Mojo Monday
Ok, today I got my MOJO on. This is the first time I participated in the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I used patterned paper from My Mind's Eye and Bazzill Basics. The flower is from Hampton Art stamps and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. I really enjoyed myself today. My son started soccer camp today and the uninterrupted time was great!! You can check out the sketch @ mojomonday.blogspot.com

Gerald's Family Vacation Scrapbook Page
My brother Gerald and his family went to the beach for their family vacation a few weeks ago. This is the pic that they posted on Facebook. So I thought that I might do a scrapbook page for them. This is unlike any page I have done before. In the past I would put the pics down on the page and then add the embellishments. And usually I have more than on pic on a page. It is as if the pic becomes one of the embellishments for the scrapbook page!!! I think it came out very nice, especially considering I use to think it was a waste of time to do a whole page for one pic. I have totally changed my mind on that, one pic is just enough.
I am going to put it in the mail tomorrow. Hopefully it will get there in one piece. I am going to get my brother to buy one of those frames specifically for scrapbook pages!!! I hope they like it. It took a lot of time.

Thank yous for Aunt Geraldine
I decided to make a set of "thank you" cards for my cousins. Their mother, my Aunt Geraldine, recently passed away and I wanted them to have some nice "thank you" cards to give out to those special people. They have been poking fun at my craft, especially when I told them that I was spending a day at home scrapping and skyping with my bestfriend, Ericka in Maryland. I am making 15 so they will each have 5 cards to share. So in this post you will see four of the prototypes that I made. Leave a comment and tell me what you think!!!

I am soooooo excited. I finally have shelves for my carfting space in my bedroom. The space is not big and I really want a scrapbook room. But for now in this moment I absolutely LOVE my crafting space. My Dad put the shelves up for me. It gives me so much more space on my table. The shelves have now become home to my texture boutique, all my cricut cartridges, my box on embellishments, crop-o-dile, itop, and so much more crafting stuff. It is great!!!!! One of the best thing about the shelves it that underneath the last shelf I wrapped some twine around the shelf rack and I was able to display some of the cards I made.
In the picture, you can see that my crafting space is neat and tidy, which is a rare thing. But I wanted my Dad to see his handy work without all the mess. Of course his first question was, "How long will it stay like this?" We all know that the sign of a real crafter is a messy table!!!! Thanks, DAD!!!!!!

Hello everyone,
It has been a while since my last post. For my summer treat I went to Maryland to visit my girlfriend Ericka. You could call her my BFF or my BSCMFF (best card making skyper friend forever!!) LOL !!! She and I skype and craft for hours! It is the best fun!!! Anyway, I flew to Maryland without my son. Thank goodness for grandparents. Let me just say, that is something I need to do every couple of years.
We planned this scrapbooking trip. We got in her car and drove to four different scrapbook stores. Three scrapbook stores were in Virginia; Stamp N' Memories, Scrapdoodles, and Scrapbook Plus and Archiver's in Raleigh, NC. We stayed in hotels, ate good food, and bought alot of really great scrapbooking supplies. Shopping is always fun and hanging out with my "bestie" was great!

Post office drama!!!
Good Morning,
I finally go and mail my cards for the SOC (Scrappers of Color) Swap. So I am in the post office and I tell the teller that I want t mail my first package ( the one with all the cards) and then I tell her that I want a stamped envelope with enough postage as the package I just mailed. I don't even know if you can do that in the US. But the teller tells me that I can't have a stamped envelope because in Bermuda (which is where I live) a Bermudian stamp has to leave the island and an American stamp has to enter the island. She offered other alternatives but it was too late and it ws going to cost more money!!! I was a little upset because I could not think of how I was going to get the stamped envelope to the host of the swap. I didn't want her to assume the cost of the postage. So after I thought about it for a minute, it clicked that I could ask my friend Ericka to mail it for me. She so nicely agreed!!!! Thanks Ericka, you saved the day!!!!!!

Three new cards!!!!!
Let me just start by saying there are some serious crafters out there and one day that will be me. But for right now, I am content with recreating the wonderful creations of others. Some times I wonder how they even conceived the idea. It is just awesome!!! So over this past weekend and especially today I found some new crafters and of course they had some awesome card videos that inspired me to make some of my own. The funny thing about trying to recreate someones work is that, throughout the process of making it, it gets tweaked and becomes your own!!! I wish I knew how to link their blogs to my site but I don't, but the 1st card is from Debbie Olson, the 2nd card is from joliebean (she has a youtube channel !!!), and the last card is from Dawn a Stampin Up!! instructor!!
