Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #83

Happy Sunday Everyone,

This weekend I participated in the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge which means I created a card based on the sketch from their website.  It was actually quite fun to see my card on another crafter's blog.  You can see the sketch over at www.kgiron.blogspot.com/.  Enjoy and Tell me what you think.

Gerald's Family Vacation Scrapbook Page

My brother Gerald and his family went to the beach for their family vacation a few weeks ago. This is the pic that they posted on Facebook. So I thought that I might do a scrapbook page for them. This is unlike any page I have done before. In the past I would put the pics down on the page and then add the embellishments. And usually I have more than on pic on a page. It is as if the pic becomes one of the embellishments for the scrapbook page!!! I think it came out very nice, especially considering I use to think it was a waste of time to do a whole page for one pic. I have totally changed my mind on that, one pic is just enough.

I am going to put it in the mail tomorrow. Hopefully it will get there in one piece. I am going to get my brother to buy one of those frames specifically for scrapbook pages!!! I hope they like it. It took a lot of time.

Brother's Card part 2

My Dad asked me to make a card for my brother from him. He knows a good thing when he sees it. So this is the other card that I made for my brother's birthday. I also made a set of 4 to add to my gift giving this Christmas!!! Let me know what you think!!

Finally Friday Challenge

Hey everybody,

It is Friday and I am home scrapping and skyping with Ericka. We both took the Finally Friday Challenge from Kwerner (our favorite card maker). Here is my interpretation of the Fabulous Birthday card. We had to use a punch element. Let me know what you think!!!!

Thank yous for Aunt Geraldine

I decided to make a set of "thank you" cards for my cousins. Their mother, my Aunt Geraldine, recently passed away and I wanted them to have some nice "thank you" cards to give out to those special people. They have been poking fun at my craft, especially when I told them that I was spending a day at home scrapping and skyping with my bestfriend, Ericka in Maryland. I am making 15 so they will each have 5 cards to share. So in this post you will see four of the prototypes that I made. Leave a comment and tell me what you think!!!

I am soooooo excited. I finally have shelves for my carfting space in my bedroom. The space is not big and I really want a scrapbook room. But for now in this moment I absolutely LOVE my crafting space. My Dad put the shelves up for me. It gives me so much more space on my table. The shelves have now become home to my texture boutique, all my cricut cartridges, my box on embellishments, crop-o-dile, itop, and so much more crafting stuff. It is great!!!!! One of the best thing about the shelves it that underneath the last shelf I wrapped some twine around the shelf rack and I was able to display some of the cards I made.

In the picture, you can see that my crafting space is neat and tidy, which is a rare thing. But I wanted my Dad to see his handy work without all the mess. Of course his first question was, "How long will it stay like this?" We all know that the sign of a real crafter is a messy table!!!! Thanks, DAD!!!!!!

Autumn cards

These card all have an autumn color tune. I used the "Indian Summer" paper collection from Basic Grey.

Hello everyone,

It has been a while since my last post. For my summer treat I went to Maryland to visit my girlfriend Ericka. You could call her my BFF or my BSCMFF (best card making skyper friend forever!!) LOL !!! She and I skype and craft for hours! It is the best fun!!! Anyway, I flew to Maryland without my son. Thank goodness for grandparents. Let me just say, that is something I need to do every couple of years.

We planned this scrapbooking trip. We got in her car and drove to four different scrapbook stores. Three scrapbook stores were in Virginia; Stamp N' Memories, Scrapdoodles, and Scrapbook Plus and Archiver's in Raleigh, NC. We stayed in hotels, ate good food, and bought alot of really great scrapbooking supplies. Shopping is always fun and hanging out with my "bestie" was great!
